EDUCATION & TRAINING

Educate. Enhance. Excel. These are the essential themes explored through the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Employer Education & Training Connection. The Regional Chamber provides connections to programs designed to meet the needs of the business community and offers K-12 programs.

YouthQuest, TeenQuest, Summer Youth Initiative and K-12 Career Preparation are the  K-12 education initiatives offered by the Regional Chamber. The goal is to train and support the next generation in an effort to create a more effective workforce within the county.  Leadership, academic enhancement and career training are just a few of the activities developed to help area students prepare to enter college or technical programs.

Regional Chamber representatives also provide leadership and direction through board and committee membership to the Workforce Development Board, the Educational Advisory Group, the Early Childhood Investment Corporation, Great Start Initiative, the Education Foundation of the Flint Community Schools, Priority Children, Katharine Roat Stevens Scholarship Committee and Cleary University Scholarship Committee.

Business programs focus on helping a business improve their performance through educational programs or the training of employees in new skill sets.

The Regional Chamber’s programs are open to both members and non-members.
