ATHENA Awards

The 2012 ATHENA Awards will be hosted November 8 at the Riverfront Banquet Center in Flint.

Nomination forms must be submitted by August 31, 2012.

The ATHENA Awards celebrate Genesee County women who who personifies professional excellence in her business or profession; contributes time and energy to import the quality of life for others in the community; and generously assists other women in realizing their full leadership potential.

Also, the Regional Chamber will honor an emerging leader in our community who demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in her business or profession and serves as a role model for young women both personally and professionally with an ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award.

Congratulations to Dr. Laura Ann Carravallah recipient of the prestigious 2010 ATHENA Award, and Katrina Khouri recipient of the new 2010 ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award. These two outstanding women in our community were chosen from a pool of 18 inspiring nominees—13 for the ATHENA Award and five for the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award on December 2, 2010.
