Genesee County Outpaces Michigan and US Rates
of Improvement
The percentage of residents, age 25 and over, holding Bachelor's
Degrees or higher in Genesee County has grown at a pace
faster than that of Michigan and the US. During the period
1990-2000, the percentage of workers holding Bachelor's
Degrees or higher in Genesee County grew by 27.34 percent.
This compares with 23.86 and 20.20 percent respectively
at the state and national levels. Estimates for 2006 show
Genesee County with even greater improvement in comparison
with state and national averages.
