Lunch is on Us

The North End Soup Kitchen (NESK) at Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties in Flint hosted a Lunch is on Us on January 13. Students from Flushing’s Seymour Elementary prepared the meal for more than 80 guests. Attendees also had the opportunity to network with other business members and learn about the wide range of programs and activities that Catholic Charities have available for those in need. ELGA Credit Union in Burton hosted the February 10 Lunch is on Us. More than 60 people showed up to the event despite a winter snow advisory. The event featured a meal from Italia Gardens, networking opportunities, and a brief tutorial on the new PowerPoint style Pecha Kucha.

After Hours Connection

The January 28 After Hours Connection at Redwood Lodge drew more than 130 attendees despite windy, cold conditions. Members of the Flint Rotary Club and others enjoyed a wide selection of food, beer, and wine while mingling and networking with other area business professionals. Upcoming events

The Regional Chamber’s next After Hours Connection will be February 25 at Tavern on the Green, 1902 Hammerburg Road, at the Swartz Creek Golf Course. Guest hosts will be PLUTO, the Young Professionals Committee of the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce. The free event starts at 5 p.m. and includes complimentary hors d'oeuvres, beer, and wine.

The next Lunch is on Us will be held on Wednesday, March 10, at Davenport University, 4318 Miller Road, Suite A, in Room 103. The free lunch starts at noon, and is another networking opportunity for area business professionals. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and marketing door prizes.
