Hampton Inn & Suites, located at 6060 Rashelle Drive off of Hill Road, was the site of a well-attended Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce Partners for Progress ribbon-cutting ceremony last week. The hotel—which opened last month—has 100 rooms, including 30 suites.
“It is particularly gratifying to have this new Hampton Inn & Suites open today because it means new investment and new jobs for Genesee County,” said Tim Herman, CEO of the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Even more importantly, it means that people are coming from outside the area to visit our community. And while our visitors are here, they will be spending money in our community. New money that wasn't here before. New money that will increase the wealth of Genesee County.”
The $9 million project represents a significant investment by Lodgco Management in the community, Herman said. The hotel also is responsible for bringing 30 new jobs to the region.
Lodgco Management, which owns and operates the hotel, is headquartered in Mt. Pleasant. The company also owns and operates the Hampton Inns in Midland, Mt. Pleasant, Okemos, the Courtyard by Marriott in Traverse City, the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Battle Creek, and the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Midland. |
