RSS Feeds

What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a technology used in distributing new Web content to a computer as soon as it is published.

How it works

RSS works in conjunction with an RSS reader (one is included with Internet Explorer 2.0), which automatically checks the Regional Chamber Web site and downloads fresh content so you can see what is new since you last visited the feed. Some RSS readers install into your e-mail program (like Microsoft Outlook), so that you receive RSS feeds along with e-mail.

How to subscribe*

  • Click on the link in the menu on the left for the feed you are interested in subscribing to. You can subscribe to one or all of the feeds offered by the Regional Chamber.
  • Click the Subscribe to this Feed button
  • Type a name for the feed and select the folder to create the feed in (the best place to create the feed is in the default folder that your brower selects)
  • Click Subscribe

My browser does not have an RSS reader

If you would like to subscribe to the Regional Chamber RSS feeds, but your browser does not include an RSS reader, simply do a Web search for "RSS reader." You should find plenty of options, some free and some have fees. Or try updating your browser to the most current version.

I've subscribed to the RSS feed, but now I can't find it*

RSS screengrabIn your browser: If you installed the feed in the default folder, the RSS feed can be viewed on the Feeds tab in the Favorites Center. To view your feeds, click the Favorite Center button and then click Feeds.
